I Got Nuthin'

So, here's a character I made up in flash. Just practicin'. It's actually a rework of one I did in summer, I just pushed it a li'l further.
Some quick head sketches from HotFuzz. I used them to warm up on cleaning up with the brush in Flash.

Pretty basic exercise from Character Design class. Three characters from personality descriptions in a line up, one view. Here's my take on them. All nicely Cleaned up.

Hope y'all are fine and spending your weekend doin' anythin' but homework. I gotta draw naked people for three hours this afternoon, so here's hopin' its a girl ;)

Mallard

Duck's are fun to draw. Not as fun as chickens, but fun all the same.

Funny Aminal Faces

I want the 90s back when people were still making shows like Cow & Chicken. Man, I loved that cartoon.

Well, at least we've still got Spongebob and Iggy Arbuckle.

Some Cheesecake and Some Funny

Just upgraded my portfolio because I had an interview. All'a these were done in Flash, which is getting more and more fun to use. I'm sure by tomorrow I'll have funny comments that I coulda added to each of these pix, but I'm tired and I gotta get to work.

Random Heads and Funny Aminals

So first of all, California is awesome. I had an amazing time visiting my cousins out there and seeing what sights we got around to. Comicon was pretty overwhelming but I met tonnes of amazing artists and people there. I got to meet Jim Smith of Ren & Stimpy fame, Rik Maki, Joe Bluhme, Stephen Silver, Pascal Campion, Martin Hsu, Jose Lopez, Javier Guzman, Chris Sanders, Robh Ruppel, Doug TenNapel, Tom Smolenski, Ken Christiansen, Brandon McLain, Ted Moon, and Zoe Frasure. Thank you to everyone who looked over my scattershot portfolio and gave me notes on my work. Everyone I met was an education.

Here's some stuff I did in the Baltimore Airport where my flight home got delayed...just some random heads from other people just waiting to go home.

After about 9 hrs of delays some of the other people on the flight(those without sketchbooks or the latest Harry Potter) began to look as desperate as this duck.

There's still something weirdly funny to me about the idea of a drawing committing suicide. Then of course there's these idiots again...they just get more fun to draw.

Happy Canada Day!

Here's a doodle of a stalwart Mountie.
This second one's for Evan(I totally owe you a call, cousin). Also, apologies to Kelly cuz it reminds me of one of his band guys from awhile back.

More Li'l Red

The Woodsman.
His Truck.
His Dog. The early temptation with this guy was to go with a Big Black dog, but I thought this one looked more appealling... Well, I've still gotta finish Granny's car and then I'll post her and maybe some rough BG studies.

Ladies Love My Anatomy...studies

The crotch shot is always a crowd-pleaser.
Model today: Skeletor
Legs.
Arm.
Model.

Some looser, life drawing stuff. Applying anatomy.

Looks like a job for CSI.
Noodlemen, gesture madness. 1min. each.

A spooky Ol' tonal study of a draped manniquin.
I never usually post this kinda stuff, but I'm prepping a portfolio and so I archived a bunch of it on my computer and I just sorta figured I'd throw it up for the Hell of it. It's all classroom stuff.

Li'l Red Rag-Top

These are some drawin's I did during my concept design intensive last month. The assignment was to reconcieve Little Red Riding Hood. My concept was to do it as a 50s drag race. I've got more stuff but these are the ones I finished and coloured. Whenever I finish the other cars and BGs I'll post them too.
